java-programmer, best struts-jsp-servlet development tool? Hello,
We are going to develop a web based application that uses Oracle 9i
database at the beckend. We started with Oracle JDeveloper 10g. It
seems fine but it fails to meet our needs at some points. Can you
recommend another tool for us?
Thanks in advance

java-programmer >> best struts-jsp-servlet development tool? NitroX from M7 (http://www.m7.com)

MyEclipse from Genuitec (http://www.myeclipseide.com)

ThinkCap from ClearNova (http://www.clearnova.com)

Java Studio Creator (http://www.sun.com/jscreator/)

It really depends on what works for you. All these will help you to create a
J2EE application, regardless of what database you use. Java Studio Creator
is more of a Visual Design tool using JavaServer Faces as it's core output,
ThinkCap provides a similar environment. MyEclipse is more of a J2EE
specific front-end to Eclipse as is NitroX. Both MyEclipse and NitroX
support Struts as well.

java-programmer >> best struts-jsp-servlet development tool? I have been using Compuware Corporations' OptimalJ product suite.
http://javacentral.compuware.com

It can build J2EE applications for multiple databases/application servers
and adequately manage the code via Model Driven Architecture.
