java-programmer, Java will not work I have recently bought a new computer with windows XP and
internet explorer 6. Any page that i try to access that
contains java will not load the java. I have recieved
warnings like ". . .requires a java compatible browser to
run". I have searched the security options and can find
nothing that will help.

Do i have to download anything or change any options
to get java working?

Anon.

I have the exact same problem. It seems that microsoft is
purposely making our lives difficult. I can't get on line
support because somehow i apparently used all my free
queries?? Please tell me on this page if you ever get
this resolved and how. Did you try getting on-line
support from microsoft?

java-programmer >> Java will not work Hello All,
I am having the same problems with IE 5.1 on win 98 with this java thing. I
called the virus 800 number. sent me to a Microsoft page that needs java to
load so I can not get any support from them. Looks like this newsgroup is
also out of the support loop????? I had an old Netscape 4 browser that I use
for a work around.
This is a sad day for the net.......
